Hola, debe ser algo de timeout del iPhone.
Me pasa lo mismo, así que desconnecto el tethering en el iPhone y vuelvo a connectarlo otra vez.
A veces tengo que hacerlo un par de veces y esperar un rato màs.
Después de unos segundos, el Connect se connecta nuevamente.
