"I've also added a couple accessories. Having received an iPod as a gift, I purchased the new Honda MusicLink iPod adapter from a discount Honda dealer on the internet and had it installed at my local dealer. The sound is quite good and very clear; no static, hum, buzzing or other interference. The speech interface is definitely quirky, but it does the minimum needed and helps you keep your eyes on the road. The factory audio system is very mediocre. This didn't really affect me before the iPod, as I mostly listened to AM news radio and kids' music. Since the iPod, I decided to improve the bass response and had the Honda Subwoofer put in at the same time. The subwoofer works well to improve the bass from 40-80Hz, but I had to adjust the crossover adjustment to the minimum and volume adjustment to near the minimum for good sound. It's pricey compared to an aftermarket model but works well for it's size. It also conceals nicely under the passenger seat (you lose the under-seat storage tray) and is covered by the warranty, since it was purchased from and installed by a Honda dealer.
Overall, the subwoofer is very reasonable for its size. It doesn't play loud, but does get adequate volume as low as 40Hz, measured on a meter. The iPod adapter sounds very good, but the interface is poor and the software is mediocre at best. I would not recommend either one based on value as they are somewhat pricey for what you get. I would not recommend the Music Link iPod adapter at all in its current form. There may well be aftermarket alternatives that are better and less expensive."
