J'S Racing S2000 WPC Final Gear Set Precio aproximado: 1350 $
Depending upon your driving requirements, J’s Racing has developed a variety of sets of final gears from 3.9 to 5.1 gear ratio. From street, autocross, drag racing, short track racing to long track racing, your customer can choose the one which will perfectly match the type of Final Gear Set they require. The combination of WPC treatment and PIP coating on the surface dramatically improves durability, heat generation characteristics and quietness. The set includes reinforced ring gear bolts (10 pieces) which enables tightening torque -11.0kg fm and prevents differential gear related problems. J’s Racing recommends using the special differential distance collar.
[Make sure to use the reinforced bolts and apply the tightening torque of 11.0kg-fm.]
WPC treatment WPC – Wide Peening and Cleaning. Widely used in motor sports including F1, Le Mans, cart, and drag racing vehicles. By firing the ultra fine particles towards the surface of a product at very high speed, thermal discharge brings the repeated effect of heat treatment and tempering in a very short time. The surface of the product produces a new ionic structure and becomes harder and more tenacious. At the same time, it creates a hardened layer of depth and works against metal fatigue.
PIP coating PIP – Power Impact Plating. J’s Racing has chosen this coating that Perfectly matches the WPC treatment and brings the product durability to the ultimate levels desired. PIP produces a special layer by oxidizing the powder and enables it to achieve the HV 1500 degree of hardness and 900C thermal resistance. Furthermore, the coating penetrates deep into the surface thus dramatically prolonging its effectiveness.

Richmond 4.56 final drive Precio aproximado: 590$
The 4.56 Final Drive Gearset is a direct replacement for the factory 4.1 final drive gears for improved acceleration. This final drive gearset consists of a new pinion shaft and ring gear manufactured by Richmond Gear, the leading US manufacture of aftermarket automotive gears.
By increasing the final drive gear ratio, acceleration is improved in all gears and is ideal for both stock, natural aspiration modified, and forced induction modified S2000.
There are several advantages compared to other final drives available:
• 4.56 ratio is ideal for the compromise between highway cruising and performance.
• High strength design uses rugged tooth design and hardened steel material for best durability. Gear tooth design is approximately 20% stronger than the Honda OEM design and other aftermarket final drives available.
• Special moly coating for increased lubricity improves durability and gear noise.
• Reduced gear noise is made possible by improved gear tooth meshing design (some slight noise may exist and is normal in operation).
• This final drive gear set is compatible with the factory available shims and bearings.

The only difference between the $1,000 unit and the $267.93 gear set we bought is, of course, the price gouging and the possibility of a few retailers who add cryogenic treatment to the units as a bonus. The same 4.77 final gear set found in the Kia is interchangeable to fit on the S2K as a direct bolt on, as well as the Mazda final drive off a stock RX-8 with a 4.44 ratio
